THE MHC RES~URCE LIBRARY

The Mental Health Coalition’s Resource Library is made available by our alliance of the leading mental health organizations. We encourage you to browse this database to learn about mental health, help a loved one, learn coping skills and seek support.

We all have mental health, and it’s more important now than ever that we take care of ourselves.

For immediate support 24/7, reach out to the Crisis Text Line by texting COALITION to 741741, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. It’s free and highly confidential, unless it’s essential to contact emergency services to keep you or your friend safe. In an emergency call 911.

In an emergency

If you or a friend need urgent assistance, call 911 immediately, or take your friend directly to the emergency room. If you feel it’s safe, stay with your friend, or find someone to stay with them until help arrives.

In a crisis

You are never alone. Help is always available. For immediate support 24/7, reach out to the Crisis Text Line by texting COALITION to 741741, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. It’s free and it’s highly confidential, unless it’s essential to contact emergency services to keep you or your friend safe.

#FeelingMoody IRL? We were! We partnered with @pinterest to create an immersive pop-up experience in NYC earlier this week, all about identifying and embracing moods and emotions.

It was incredible to connect with our community in person, and we couldn't have done it without the support of our amazing partners. The whole space was beautifully furnished by @joybird, and the music that played throughout was curated in partnership with @universalmusicgroup. Activations during the event included a peaceful sound bath meditation by @healhaus and refreshing teas and tinctures by @have.a.nice.daisy. We heard from inspiring speakers: MHC's founder @kennethcolereal, our member organization @silencetheshame's @shantidas404, our program board member and founder of @yale_emotions Dr @marc.brackett, and @wholeheartedcoaching. Gift bags included face shields and masks from @kennethcole, along with the cutest socks we created in collaboration with @kendrascott.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the event to kick off #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth with us. We're enormously inspired by the support and engagement we received — from our partner organizations, our followers, and even strangers who wandered in unsure and walked out inspired to think about mental health in a new way. 🥰

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day. Being a mother, or choosing not to be, contains a wide range of experiences and challenges.

From not having kids when you want to, to being actively child-free, to experiencing pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and parenting difficulties — these vignettes can help us all be more mindful of how our day-to-day conversations can affect the mental health of mothers and those who choose to be child-free.
