Emmy award-winning, multi-platinum artist on a mission to use her purposeful voice to support others.
Rachel Platten is an American singer-songwriter best known for her hit song Fight Song (2015), which became an anthem of empowerment and resilience. She gained widespread recognition with the song’s success, leading to her major-label debut album Wildfire (2016). Rachel’s latest music is rooted in her experiences with postpartum depression and anxiety – including Bad Thoughts – which she believes will be the Fight Song for mental Health. Now, the Mental Health Coalition and Kenneth Cole have partnered with Rachel to raise awareness for mental health by creating an impactful music video that leans into the lyrics of Bad Thoughts. The film addresses the unrealistic industry standards of what’s needed to be successful, and acts as a powerful metaphor for her journey – from the artificial facade of fame to her authentic, honest self.

Everyone has mental health. We’re launching a public outcry for everyone to Take It Personally—to mobilize a shift in mindset and build a future where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered.
This is the beginning of a new mental health culture—one where vulnerability is strength, empathy is intuitive, and stigma is a memory. In a time of division and disconnection, let’s reflect, connect, and imagine what’s possible when we take mental health personally.
